spi trading - now I can seeDecember 2005I started trading about 2 years ago, and like everyone else bought the first trading package I could find that had the most indicators in it. Over the 2 years I mostly lost, getting in and out at the wrong time. But there was nothing else out there that examined the market in a different way. Luckily I came across Camron trading systems and the moment I read the vast website I knew my search was over .What appealed to me was, these methods enabled me to look at the market from the inside, and see if the moves are real, see what the large players are doing, you can actually look at whether they are buying or selling. Something a chart will never tell you. The information you receive is vast, you need to take the time to reprogram yourself and the journey to success begins. I will never trade without my Camron software, and will never trade with a conventional chart again. The help and tuition received was far beyond my expectations.Value for money, you simply cannot get anything like it anywhere. Camron has turned my trading around, it is too valuable to ignore. March 2006 I look back now, over the first 2 years of trading, using TA, and lost most of the time. Then I scrap TA and start making money. There is a clear message to anyone who wants to listen. Not many do. I'm lucky I'm clever enough to search and listen. Nick Lindshoten Sydney. spi tradingI have been a professional trader since leaving school 15 years ago, and have had a professional relationship with Camron Systems for 10 of those years for software. On leaving school I attended the Registered Representatives course run by the Sydney Futures Exchange. Trading the SPI is my full time occupation and I make a very good full time living from it. Since the introduction of electronic trading with the Sydney Futures Exchange, the market has changed considerably. Its tougher now, and it takes me 8 months to achieve the same level of profits previously made in 4 months. It takes twice as long. For the first 3 years I used technical analysis exclusively, next 6 years fundamental analysis, and for the last 5 years a mix of fundamental and discretionary trading, with a bias towards discretionary. As part of my methods I use the mathematical perfection of the boundaries concept aggressivley, and am pleased to note that my request to have the publication of the daily boundaries removed from the "kamron boundaries" web site has been agreed to. It is far too accurate and valuable to give away free. I dont want the opposition knowing what I'm doing and when. George MacDonald ph: withdrawn george.macdonald@withdrawn August 2004 Pattern Trading SPI and FTSE100I have been trading SPI futures since the early nineteen nineties. Originally a pattern based trader, I started a professional relationship with Camron systems in 1994.The ability to replay daily files in 'quotes system' fascinated me. I was able to see the activity going on between the big players in the market. With these tools I am able to watch for the markets being pushed to extremes, then monitor the activity of the commercials in real time, to determine when to enter. To my knowledge there is nothing else out there that gives you this ability to clearly see what is going on beneath the noise of the market.Over time, my ability to read the market improved immensely, I began to sense when the market was about to make a big move. This has proved invaluable in my trading having successfully implemented it on both the FT100 index and the SPI. After working with these system tools for a number of years I realised I could see number series easily and pick up patterns. Have applied this knowledge successfully to the racing industry and now run a book on many meetings in Australia, successfully taking a percentage from each meeting. These tools are a must for any trader wishing to improve their ability to read the market. Albert Joins ph: withdrawn busnet@vicnet.net.au December 2004 spi TradingI first became interested in trading futures (mainly the SPI) in 1998. Like most beginners, I was drawn to technical analysis by the allure of the charts and my first forays into the market resulted in a string of losing trades. After these losses it became clear that this was no easy game and that I would need to acquire more knowledge if I was to ever succeed in futures trading. It was my belief that the answers lay hidden in the charts so I set about learning as much as I could about technical analysis based on the history of price action. I soon discovered that there was no shortage of information in the form of books, websites and courses on technical analysis and general trading techniques. Many of the systems and techniques I looked at worked well on historical data and seemed to be profitable when back tested. Real time live trading proved to be a different story. No two days were ever alike and the SPI market would constantly cause frustration with its whip saw price action one day and the unexpected ambush the next. Market analysis based on price action and price history was clearly not the answer. Technical analysis had lost its shine as far as I was concerned. In all my searching I could not find anything substantial about trading the SPI. I could never understand how and why the SPI did what it did and most of the written material available was helpful in acquiring general knowledge about trading and trading strategies but I could not convert that knowledge into trading profits. Then I discovered the Camron Systems website (www.camrom.com.au). When I first visited Camron's website I was amazed to find such a large chunk of freely offered trading advice specifically aimed at the SPI. Needless to say I was intrigued. The logic and views expressed were completely different to anything I had read or seen before on the subject. This led me to take a fresh view of the whole thing. Camron's website was like a window into the inner workings of the SPI. I decided to utilise Camron System's software, trading tools and most importantly their tuition and advice. This assistance has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the SPI resulting in greater confidence when making trading decisions. One of the most useful tools is their replay software. It allows me to review any trading day, trade by trade. This makes it possible to fast forward through the slow periods when not much is happening and to look carefully at the times when the market moves rapidly. With this replay software I can test my trading decisions over and over again against real intraday action as it unfolds. This is something that I could never do before. I don't know of anyone else who offers this valuable facility. It took a bit of time for the "new" concepts to sink in but now I look at the market through different eyes and I can more clearly see price action as a function of the different forces at work in the market. I make far fewer losing trades and I am happy to say that my trading profits are improving. Colin Jackson Brisbane cojac@ozemail.com.au August 2004 automatic unattended mechanical systemMy father was a scientist with a life long interest in racing. Among his documents were working papers containing his methods including many complicated scientific formula. Two years of enquiry and submitting the formulae to various bodies could not discover what the formula meant. With the assisitance of Camron Systems we finally located a Professor of Mathematics at Monash University with a similar interest in racing who understood them and was able to explain them and confirm their validity. Camron Systems were able to apply the formula within an electronic racing-ßéttìng system using the pre-market electronic data from the New South Wales TAB, and based on the fluctuations of the 0ÐÐ's during the 20 minute pre-market period through to start time. Orders are placed automatically. As I am employed full time, I leave the system running unattended during day. It has been running six days per week, for six years. These people know their stuff.Peter Geraghty Sydney, New South Wales November 2004 SPI TRADINGI have been researching SPI futures since 1997. Looking at numerical patterns I was convinced that the SPI market was mathematically perfect but could not see the complete picture with the data I had so the results were inconsistent. In June 2003 I came across Camron's website by accident and tried the Quotes 84 free replay download software and subsequently bought it. The information on the website and Quotes84 allowed me to see concepts I could never have imagined possible before and the picture became clearer. I used the control zone boundaries concept as discussed on the website but still felt there was more to it mathematically. The website and Quotes84 brought to my attention the pre-open auction data and I researched the numerical patterns in the pre-open data looking for inter-relationships with the SPI after the open. In January 2005, after working with Quotes84 for 18 months & researching all types of trading systems on the SPI for 8 years, the penny finally dropped. I now see clearly the relationships between the SPI pre-open data, as seen in Quotes84, and the SPI after the open which give very clear numerical indications of market direction and strength in the morning session and beyond. Coupled with the control zone boundaries concept this has become a very powerful trading tool. Being able to see what the commercials are doing in real time in Quotes84 adds weight to the easily calculated mathematical concepts. Now it feels like I am driving in a blizzard with zero visibility if I can't get the pre-open data and the commercial counts from Quotes84.Rod Hoskins Adelaide rodhoskins@dodo.com.au February 2005 |
